FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions:
Q: When are shop updates?
A: Shop updates are at random times and dates to maintain fairness to clientele worldwide.
Q: I’m looking for a particular colorway, how do I get it?
A: I am not accepting custom order requests at this time. I cycle through the various available colorways and dye them up for the shop updates. Keep an eye out for what you are looking for in the shop updates.
Q: How do I know what colorways are still in circulation?
A: There is a list of available colorways on the available colorways page, as well as in my Ravelry group.
Q: How do I know which colorways are retired/no longer available?
A: If it is not on the list of available colorways, it is no longer being dyed.
Q: What are “club exclusives” and how do I get one?
A: You cannot. These colorways were special editions for their respective clubs and are no longer dyed.
Q: Where else can I find this yarn brand?
A: Occasionally, I will do a wholesale order with Sip & Knit in Maitland, FL. The proprietor may have some skeins in stock. Otherwise, check the ISO/Destash thread on my Ravelry group: Fresh From the Cauldron.
Q: Why is there nothing currently for sale/in stock?
A: Shop updates go fast! I encourage you to keep trying until you are able to acquire the skeins you are after. I often announce a shop update prior to it going live on my Ravelry group in the Shop Update thread.
Q: How come my skein does not look like the one in the picture on the website/other people’s skeins in the same colorway?
A: Each skein is individually hand-dyed. There will be variances to every skein. This makes them unique. Also, monitor settings will vary from one computer to the next. I make sure to upload photos of each skein to represent their true colors based on my monitor’s settings.
Q. I already checked out and my payment went through, but there are still items showing up in my cart. What do I do?
A. Do NOT empty your cart. Sometimes there is a delay. The site will remove the items.
Q. How do I make sure that my tax field information is correct?
A. To change this in your account, log-in. Go back to the FFTC page and choose “view cart”. Under the heading Your Account, the middle option is Your Details. You correct your address there. Double-check both of your addresses – it’ll likely look the same EXCEPT default you to living in Florida. Fix that, and you should be good to go.
During check-out, double-check that you are not being charged tax. If you are, it’s likely inputting your billing and/or shipping address incorrectly. Fix that before you complete your order.
Please be sure that you have your registration info correct in the Tax field. It defaults to FL resident. Please deselect this if you do not live in Florida. Thanks!
